Crain’s claims that Formento’s offers a modern take on old school Italian…and I’d have to agree. The front bar and the dining room in the back of the restaurant make you feel like you’re stepping back in time, but the vibe is young and hip. You can tell this place buzzes with energy on a weekend night. Plus, there’s a sweet private events area upstairs with a separate bar and an additional private dining room that would be perfect for practically any kind of special event.
