Project Description

ERIS Brewery and Cider House

To say that I was excited to work with Katy & Michelle, the badass women behind Eris, is an understatement. I absolutely love everything about Eris. Delicious food, incredible ciders that they brew on site, and a killer space that has architectural interest & history; check, Check and CHECK! 🙂

Here’s a blurb from their website that explains why they’re called Eris…and I’m here for it!

“ERIS was inspired by the Greek goddess known for causing mayhem. As the story goes, Eris threw the golden apple of discord into a party that she wasn’t invited to, creating chaos as everyone scrambled for its beauty.

As cider makers in a city of over 100 breweries and women in a male-dominated industry, we know what it’s like not to be invited to the party. That’s why we focus on inclusivity, approachability, and accessibility in everything we do.

We started ERIS as our way of throwing a golden apple into the Chicago scene.”

Huge Outdoor Patio

I love a good outside patio, and Eris does not disappoint! To add a little fun into the shoot, and to allow for some future customer engagement on social media, I suggested we hide something around the patio. They happened to have a collection of small garden gnomes doing various things…perfection. Can you find any??

Old Masonic Temple

When they began renovating the building, they discovered some relics from the building’s past life as a Masonic Temple that they have on display.
